Remembering the Life of

Roy Roland

March 8, 1935 - September 12, 2023

Roy Roland, age 88, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County on March 8, 1935 to the late Russell and Elvada Swinford Roland. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife: Uldean Mills Roland; one daughter: Deborah Stillwell; one son: Donnie Roland; two brothers: John Roland and William Lee Roland and one sister: Joann Newman. Mr. Roland was a mechanic and was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ.

 

Mr. Roland is survived by his wife: Reba Gault Roland; two daughters: Brenda Howell and Sheila O’Neal; three sisters: Irene Hunter, Mary Jane Roland and Marie Reese; two brothers: Billy Roland and Ray Roland; seven grandchildren: Tracy Howell (Jamie) Smith, Chris (Wendi) Sawyers, Amanda Sawyers, Brittany Stillwell, Jonathan O’Neal, Tonya Frost and Cory Palmer and numerous great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Tim Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
