In 1958, Willie married his high school sweetheart Mae Frances, and moved to Los Angeles, where they started their family. To this union two daughters were born, Pamela Jean and Sharon Kamela. He prospered working for the city of Los Angeles, until 1968, when he moved back to his beloved Tennessee.
