Tommy Nelson Smith, age 63, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his residence. He was born August 28, 1962, in Huntland, TN, son of the late Bobby Smith and Roberta Askins Smith. He was a carpenter by trade, and retired from Albea after 35 years. Tommy was a very loving and dedicated Christian husband, father, and Pa, and loved watching his sons and grandchildren play ball.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Bobby Terrell Smith and Little Fulton Smith; mother-in-law: Charlotte York; and brothers-in-law: Mark Brady and Kenny Burton.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 46 years: Wanda Smith; sons: T.J. (Tara) Smith and Richie (Bridget) Smith; grandchildren: Rilee Smith, Reese Smith, Tatum Smith, and Trey Smith; siblings: Rickie Burton, Carrie (Terry) Holt, Teresa (Danny) Bateman, Joey (Linda) Smith, and Ronnie (Belinda) Smith; father-in-law: David York; brother-in-law: Bobby Hill; sisters-in-law: Lisa (Danny) Strickland and Alice Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. before the service.
