Born on August 3, 1930, in Lincoln County, TN, Thomas was the cherished son of the late Rosco Richard Scruggs and Ida Wallace Scruggs.

Thomas led a life of dedication and service. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Airforce, a testament to his unwavering patriotism and valor. Following his military service, Thomas embarked on a distinguished career as a pharmacist, where his commitment to healthcare and community welfare left a lasting impact on those he served.

Thomas's legacy is carried forward by his sons, Richard J. Scruggs and Daniel W. Scruggs, who remember him as a father of profound integrity, wisdom, and compassion. He was a guiding light in their lives, instilling in them the values of hard work, perseverance, and kindness.
