Rachel Rutledge Richardson, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was born in Madison County, AL on July 8, 1943, to the late Sam Dewey and Virgie Fanning Britton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson is preceded in death by her husbands: James Willie Rutledge, Phillip Richardson and George Hill; two sisters: Nan (Billy) Posey and Ann (Vernon) Corie; five brothers: Jim (Blanche) Britton, David (Alvena) Britton, Gus (Barbara) Britton, Robert Britton and Gene Britton; and four brothers-in-law: Robert (Jane) Rutledge, Alf Murdock, Gary Coble and Daymond Bell.

She is survived by one daughter: Tammy (Jason) Wright; one son: Darin (Michele) Rutledge; one step-daughter: Phyllis (Rodney) Morrison; five grandchildren: Lindsey (Hunter) Adams, Hannah (Luke) King, Sarah Wright, Adam Rutledge and Ryan (Christy) Rutledge; two step-grandchildren: Cathy Boudousquie and Andrew Boudousquie; one great grandchild: Ruby James Adams; two sisters: Vera Murdock and Sara Coble; one brother: Charlie (Vera) Britton; three sisters-in-law: Agnes Britton, Gracie Britton, and Carol Bell; one brother-in-law: Joe (Wanda) Rutledge and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Britton Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
