Patricia Lee “Pat” Moody Poarch, age 87, entered Heaven on Saturday, Dec 7th surrounded by the love of her family. Pat was a native of Selma, AL, and was preceded in death by her parents Hays Patillo Moody and Maggie Mae Ezell Moody.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Charles Poarch; brother, Charles (Jo) Moody of Hamilton AL; and her 4 children, Glen (Sallyann) Clements of Macon, GA, Terri (Rick) Lamon, Vicki (Paul) McMillin, and Kim (Chris) Davis all of Fayetteville, TN. Pat loved living and working in Fayetteville. She did bookkeeping for a local flooring business for years before purchasing her business, Pat’s Jiffy Mart on Winchester Hwy. She proved to be a successful business owner and had fond memories of those years. After selling the business she worked at Amana cafeteria followed by Huntsville Hwy Cleaners until she completely retired in 2020. She enjoyed working for the public and made many friends.

Pat attended Cotton Mill Holiness Church of God for many years where she often played the piano and sang with her husband Charlie. She and Charlie also played music at Donaldson and Lincoln Care Center once a month for many years. Some of her hobbies included photography, crocheting, and genealogy. Pat loved “ramblin” and she and Charlie took frequent car rides. She loved the beach, cruising, fishing and visiting her son and brother when she could. One of her favorite sayings was “ain’t never had any bad chocolate.”

She was most proud of her family and loved spending as much time as she could with them. She always enjoyed the holidays and family game nights, which were always fun. Pat will be missed dearly by her family and friends and has left a lasting memory on everyone that had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
