Nina Elizabeth Barnes, age 100, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Donalson Care Center. She was born on August 23, 1925, in Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Wes & Beadie Putman Childress. Mrs. Barnes was a nurse and was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: George Barnes; daughter: Betty Webb; brothers: Ellis Childress, Elmer Childress, Leonard Childress and Jimmy Childress.

She is survived by her daughter: Sue (Gary) Wright; son: Charles Barnes; grandchildren: Dale Thornton, Jill Murdock, Wesley Barnes, Elizabeth Hudson, Mary Jo Allen and Patrick Wright; and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery with Gary Wright officiating with Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge.
