Mildred Lorene McNatt went home to Jesus on April 20, 2026 at the age of 93. Mildred was born to Aubrey and Mary Lou Talbert on October 11, 1932 in Rutherford County, TN. As a child, Mildred grew up in Warren County, TN as the oldest of five children. She often recalled her daily life as a child, consisting of completing adult tasks on their family farm. Later in life, she worked for their family-owned Lively Heights Nursing Home and ran a Daycare.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and great aunt, Mildred invested much of her life into being a pastor’s wife. She wore many hats during the forty-eight years of ministry with her husband. She found joy in cooking and hosting homemade meals for others. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those around her. In her final hospital stays, caretakers would often comment on her pleasant disposition.

Mildred has now joined her devoted late husband and adored son in law, David Bryant England, as well as her sister Lois Argo, brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Joyce Talbert, brother- in-law, Rev. Coy Jordan, special cousin Rev. Glenn Burks, and many other loved ones in Heaven.

Mildred met her beloved late husband, Rev. William Kenneth McNatt from Lincoln County, TN when he was the guest evangelist for a revival at her church in 1958. They married after a three month courtship and were blessed with four children: Lucia (Gary) Hutcherson, Michael (Lisa) McNatt, Linda (Bobby) Posey, and Kenny (Amy) McNatt, seven grandchildren: Tavis (Lori) England, Lucas (Alexandra) England, Tristan (Amy) McNatt, Addison McNatt, Karissa (Chip) Mironas, Bryant (Savanna) McNatt, and Emilee McNatt. Four great grandchildren: Kendall England, Broden England, Aidric England, and Charlie Mironas, special nephew Ken (Sandy) McNatt, special niece Wynett (Lenny) Heacock. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews, her sister, Olene Jordan, brother, Ray (Christy) Talbert, brother-in-law Tyron Argo, close cousins Billie Freeze and Louise McDowell.

Heartfelt gratitude to all of her friends at Hope Church, and to her doctors and nurses at Lincoln Health ER, St. Thomas Ascension Hospital, Lynchburg Nursing Home, and Compassus Hospice.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on April 25, 2026 at Gallant Funeral Home, 508 College Street West, Fayetteville, TN. The family will receive guests for visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Kenneth McNatt, II will officiate. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery.

Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mildred Lorene McNatt.
