Michael Allen Johnson, age 71, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was born in Shelby County, TN, on October 26, 1952, son of the late Clarence Johnson and Julia Smith Johnson. He served as a pastor for over 50 years and was the beloved pastor of West End Baptist Church for 33 years. He was a passionate supporter of Riverside Christian Academy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the love of his life and only girl he ever dated, Bonnie Lyn Johnson.

Bro. Mike is survived by his daughters: Kara & Michael Hall and Emily & Warren Porter; grandchildren: Riley Michael Hall, Caroline Grace Hall, J.T. Porter, Ty Porter, and Luke Thomas Hall; sisters-in-law: Louanne Little and Leigh & Scott Stone; nieces: Erin & Josh Tims and Ginny Stone; nephew: Adam Stone; beloved pet: Orvis; and many other children and young adults to whom he will always be Papa.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the West End Baptist Church with Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the West End Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West End Baptist Church or Riverside Christian Academy.
