It is with regret we announce the passing of Mellissa Robin Owen Payne, born October 7, 1961, in Lewisburg, TN.

A 1979 graduate of Central High School, Mellissa became a CNA for Lincoln Care Center and then moved to Donalson Cere Center, where she was loved by the staff and residents. Some say she was the life of the party and always had a smile on her face. She was a woman whose love shined brightly, and was a constant source of comfort and strength to all who knew her. She poured her heart and soul into her family, always putting their needs before her own. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Mellissa is survived by her daughter, Angela Lynn (Payne) Howard.

Deceased family members include her daughter, Andrea Marie Payne, and her son, Thomas Joshua Payne.

A private burial was held in Elora Cemetery with Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
