Mary Sue Thompson, age 71, of Auburntown, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at St. Thomas Stones River Hospital. She was born on June 13, 1954, in Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late James Tamge (J.T.) McDow and Clara Dempsey McDow. She was a retired LPN.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Tommy McDow, and grandson, Daniel Bobier.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter: Misty Dawn Bobier; son: Daniel Shawn Bobier (Stella Coffee); grandchildren: Brendan Bobier, David Coffee and Rosetta Coffee; sisters: Nadine Wilson, Gail (Oliver) Prince, Janice (Roger) Goolsby, Sharon (John) Howeser and Barbara Pemberton; and brothers: Donnie (Sherry) McDow, William McDow, and Timothy (Sandy) McDow.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
