Some of the fondest memories of her great grandchildren are sleeping on her couch and eating her famous “Spam and eggs” on sick days from school. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Larry Divens; grandson: LeVar Layne; and siblings: Donnie Divens, George “Ed” Divens, Lois (Bill) Travis, and Flora (John) Dismukes.

A life well lived is a legacy and her lasting memories will be treasured in the hearts of her children: Virginia “Ruthie” Layne and Billy Ray (Sharon) Divens; grandchildren: Camille (Ray) Scott, Wallace (Sylvia) Layne, Kameesha Divens, and Lamar (Cherie) Divens; devoted niece and nephews: Ann (Anthony) Bailey, Charles Goodrich and Anthony (Pamela) Travis; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a special friend, Louise March.
