Martha Jo Hemphill, age 85, of Fayetteville, TN passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Lincoln Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County, TN on September 13, 1940, to the late Howell & Ouida Scott Crabtree. She was a teacher’s aid for the Lincoln County School System and was a member of the Carshaw Church of Christ in Harvest, AL.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Selwyn Hemphill; daughter: Kimberly Michaels; and grandson: Patrick Selwyn Michaels.

Survivors include son: Levoy Vance Hemphill; grandchildren: Kathy Lynn Michaels and Kelly Ruth Michaels; sisters: Liz Hale and Ann Hornaday; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Talley Cemetery with Greg Tucker officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge.
