Margie Joyce Dodson, age 88, of Valhermoso Springs, AL passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County, TN on November 7, 1937, to the late Avery Hanley & Bonnie Mae Counts Dodson. Joyce was retired from General Motors.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Eula, Wilma, Annie, Laura, Edna and brothers: Thomas Avery, James, Robert, Wayne.

Ms. Dodson is survived by her nieces: Faye Oliver, Janice Anderson, Gail Corder (Gary), Mitzi Gonzales (Julian), Jacqueline Vaughn (Max), Janet Mercier (Greg); nephews: Glen Dodson (Patricia), Billy Dodson, Larry Dodson (Karen), Ed Dodson, Tom Howard (Mary Jane), Jerry Harmening (Jane), Ronald Harmening, Larry Staton, Robert Dodson, Jr. (Betsy), Nick McDaniel; many grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
