Joseph Roland LaFontaine, age 94, of Fayetteville, TN, departed this life on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Donalson Care Center. He was born December 18, 1929, in Auburn, ME, son of the late Henri and Alma Croteau LaFontaine. Joe was a retired veteran of the United States Army, and he worked as a construction handyman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jane LaFontaine, earlier this year.

Mr. LaFontaine is survived by three daughters: Linda LaFontaine, Debra Mays and April LaFontaine; six grandchildren: Zachary (Larissa) Mays, Joshua (Jessica) Mays, Jamie (Shane) Thomas, Tiffany (Josh) Fears, Juliann Fears and Arland Edwards; and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
