John Russell Adams, age 53, of Ardmore, AL, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026. He was born in Shelbyville, TN on May 23, 1972, to the late Larry Loyd Adams and Pansy Gail Derryberry Boldin. He worked as an automotive manufacturing machine operator. He enjoyed watching wildlife, woodworking, and the Tennessee Vols.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother: Cheryl Adams and one sister: Lori Haywood.
Survivors include by his wife: Delisa Jean Adams of Ardmore, AL; one daughter: Mary Adams (Gretchen) of Chapel Hill, TN; one son: Jacob Adams of Lewisburg, TN; one sister: Angela Brown of Shelbyville, TN; step-father: Wayne Boldin of Ardmore, AL; three step-children; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
