John Henry Hampton, age 77, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Donalson Care Center. Mr. Hampton was born in Lincoln County, TN, on January 16, 1947, to the late Eugene Hampton, Jr. and Delois Goodrich Hampton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hampton is preceded in death by one daughter: Sherry Dixon; three sisters: Nancy Ann Goodrich, Lois Jean Hampton and Martha Dean Parks and two brothers: Thomas Hampton and Norman Hampton.

Mr. Hampton is survived by his wife: Rachel D. Hampton; two daughters: Pamela Humphrey and Kawania Harris; one son: John (Vananda) Hampton, Jr.; three sisters: Mattie (Ernest) Edmiston, Theodora Edmiston, and Bernettia (Herbert) Stewart; one brother: James Hampton; five grandchildren: Cameron Ricks, Morgan Humphrey, Tyler C. Harris, Zach Hampton and Jonathan Hampton and one great grandchild: Kamilla Humphrey.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of food, love offerings may be made to the family.
