Mary Helen George Stone, age 83, of Flintville, TN, passed away on May 27, 2024, at her residence. She was born on April 8, 1941 in Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Ervin Luther George and Beulah Pearl Eley George Hill. She was a member of the Flintville Holiness Church.

Many will remember Helen as the longtime manager of the Revco Drug Store in Fayetteville, as well as the manager of the Hazel Green Drug Store in Hazel Green and Huntsville, where she enjoyed working with and helping people in the communities.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Ida Bell George and Margaret Ann (Alvin R. ‘Buddy’) Clemons; brother: Billy Joe (Helen) George; and great granddaughter: Ansley Pearl Stone.

Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband of 66 years: Earl G. Stone of Flintville; children: Jackey H. (Debbie) Stone of Flintville and Judy K. (Lee) Brooks of Manchester; grandchildren: Laura Beth (Bret) Quick of Fayetteville, Lucas (Alex) Stone of Elora, Julee E. (Jordan) Hill of Maryville and Adam L. (Amber) Brooks of Knoxville; great grandchildren: Clint and Grant Quick, Lilly-Grace and Milly-Ruth Stone, Kaiser Hill and soon to be born Cyrus Brooks. She is also survived by a host of friends and relatives.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Dora Owens and Paulette Newgent, and her hospice nurses who have helped to make a hard time much easier for the family.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. in Moore Cemetery (Moore Cemetery Road off Oliver Smith Road, Flintville). The service will be officiated by her grandson, Bro. Lucas Stone.
