Harold Arthur McBride was born on September 2, 1926 in Frenchlick, Indiana. He passed on February 6, 2026 in Mulberry, TN. He grew up on a farm. He entered the Army and met and fell madly in love with Charlotte Ann Kline who would go visit her grandparents on their farm in the summer. He married Charlotte and they lived on an 80 acre farm and raised pigs, grew corn and soy beans. Together they raised four children, Sharon, Anita, Charles, and Mark in a good Christian home. His brother, Russell McBride, decided to sell his farm and move to Florida. Harold thought that was a great idea and sold his farm and settled in Elfers, Florida. His brother got extremely homesick and moved back to Indiana. Harold drove a taxi in New Port Richey, Florida where he built a house. Johnny Cash was one of his favorites. He also worked for Kanes Furniture for a while. He was a great carpenter and musician. He built a curio and a large cedar chest for Charlotte. Harold could pick up any instrument and play it by ear. His grandson, Micheal McBride, inherited that same talent. Harold had five siblings - he outlived them all, age 99, and was the second youngest child.

Memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00 until 5:00 pm at the Pragel Residence. Burial was in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Harold Arthur McBride.
