Gloria Anne (McIntosh) Maxwell, age 80, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Elk River Health and Nursing Center. She was born in Memphis, TN on September 20, 1945, to the late Joseph M. & Faye (Windberry) McIntosh. Gloria graduated from Frayser High School, Class of 1963, and spent her professional career with Schering-Plough Corporation, where she retired as an Executive Secretary. Along with her career, Gloria had a deep love of travel. Whether flying, cruising, or camping, she explored approximately thirty states across the United States with her family, as well as Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. Ms. Maxwell was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Covington, Tennessee for twenty years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joey McIntosh and son-in-law, Tommy Orton.
Survivors include her beloved daughters: Tammy Orton, Kimberly Hackett, Nancy (Hank) St. Clair; grandchildren: Kelsey Hackett, Kaleb Hackett, Daniel (Sabrina) St. Clair, Dalton (Elisa) St. Clair and Maria St. Clair (Brandon) Hubble; great grandchildren: Hunter Salisbury, Dawson Salisbury, Andrew St. Clair, Bradley St. Clair, Logan St. Clair, Weston St. Clair, Mason St. Clair, Ethan St. Clair, Hailey Lynn St. Clair and Chloe Salisbury; and sister: Joyce (Snelling) Brown.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, December 20,2025 for a graveside service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Cemetery, located at 234 US-641/Memorial Drive, Paris, Tennessee 38242. Family members will lead the graveside service with a eulogy of praise by daughter, Tammy (Maxwell) Orton with Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, for a donation in Gloria’s honor be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
