Gene Autrey Sunday, age 91, of Taft, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Elk River Care and Rehab in Fayetteville, TN. He was born August 9, 1932 in Madisonville, TX, son of the late Luther Evander Sunday and Gladys Lorene Collins Sunday. Mr. Sunday was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Sunday is survived by his wife: Carolyn Jean Lyon; step children: Raymond Swiderski, Joe Swiderski, Kathy Serpa, and Brenda Thomas; step grandchildren: Ashley Richard, Logan Richard, Jadrian Swiderski, Jerron Swiderski, and Jerzeyann Swiderski; and step great grandchild: Matia Richard.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Jenell Tucker officiating. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. before the service at the funeral home.
