Evelyn Gattis, age 88, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Lincoln Medical Center. She was born in Moore County, TN on February 2, 1937, daughter of the late Clyde and Elaine Preston Moorehead. Mrs. Gattis was a retiree of NASA and a member of the West Fayetteville Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband: Joe. B. Gattis; one son: Mickey Glenn (Susan) Gattis; three grandchildren: Tyler Gattis, Luke (Hanna) Gattis, and Morgan Gattis; two sisters: Marie Walker, Clyditha (Jim) Syler; and five brothers: Roy (Fredna) Moorehead, Clarence Moorehead, Randall (Michelle) Moorehead, Harville (Anne) Moorehead and Jerry (Debbie) Moorehead.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Steve Miller officiating.
