Mildred Elaine Stinnett, age 70, departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 27, 1955, to the late Ms. Matilda Ford and Mr. William Townsend.

Elaine, as she was most lovingly known, was also preceded in death by her four siblings: Earnestine Hewlett, Bobby Ford, Steve Ford, and Dorothy Ford. She met and married the love of her life, Mr. Carol Stinnett, who also preceded her in death.

She was a faithful member of the Blue Spring Road Church of Christ. Elaine loved helping others and was always willing to lend a caring hand.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, LaTunia Ford Derrick; step-son, Shawn (Jay) Stinnett; grandchildren, Cydney, Tyler, and Kinseley Ford; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Ford, Donna (Robert) Hammond, Ralph Stinnett, and Ray Stinnett; god children, Darius, Lisa, Tessy, Alexus, and Arkell; special cousin, Diane Harney; best friend, Kathleen Bass; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A message from Elaine to her family and friends: "When tomorrow comes and I am not here with you, just look up, smile, and think of the times we had together. Please don’t be sad. I lived a good life, loved each of you, and now I’m home resting."

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Blue Spring Road Church of Christ with Dr. Floyd Rodgers officiating.

Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mildred Elaine Stinnett.
