Doris Smart Arbogast, age 75, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Born on October 9, 1950, Doris dedicated her life to caring for others. She was guided in life by her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a shining example of generous spirit and unwavering love for her family. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Doris is survived by her devoted husband, Charles L. Arbogast, of Fayetteville; her daughter, Christine Holman (Christopher); her grandchildren, Daniel H. Bromley (Amanda) and John W. Bromley IV (Whitney); her great-grandchildren, Claire, Luke, Jase, Remy, and Elise; and her bonus grandchildren, Hope and Hayden Holman. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Ward and Blanche Ward, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Smart and Marie Hammond; her sister, Nancy Ward; and her brother, Fred Smart Jr.
