Charles Edward Poarch, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Elk River Health and Nursing Home. He was born in Lincoln County, TN on October 3, 1943, son of the late Garland Levi & Ethel Holley Poarch. Mr. Poarch loved to play the guitar and was a member of the Holiness Church of God.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife: Brenda Poarch; second wife: Patricia Poarch; step-sons: James McCoy and David McCoy; sisters: Mary Frame, Joan Leatherwood and Sue Hobbs; and brothers: James Poarch and Bill Poarch.

Mr. Poarch is survived by his step-children: Tammy (Ralph) Brown, Melvin McCoy, Glen (Sallyann) Clements, Terri (Rick) Lamon, Vicki (Paul) McMillin and Kim (Chris) Davis; sisters: Cleta Jean Sheehan, Janice (Danny) Gentry and Linda Wilcox; and many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family is Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
