Bobby Wayne Hicks, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Elk River Health and Rehab. He was born in Shelbyville, TN on January 6, 1944, to the late Claude Hicks, Sr. and Martha Warren Ashby (Leroy). He was a retired tile setter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Iva Hill Hicks and brothers: Ronnie Ashby and Jackie Ashby.

Survivors include his daughters: Lereca (Tony) Swinford, Lorie Hicks and Christy Painter; grandchildren: Courtney Barnes, Quinn Lindsey, Kelsi Painter, DeWayna (Phil) Shelton, Kirsten (Brad) Lowe, Destiny (Ryan) Hughes; great grandchildren: Kenlee Parks, Bentlee Cannon, Avery Shelton, Karson Barnes, Carter Lindsey, Chandler Lowe, Trenton Lowe and Cohen Owens Lindsey; sisters: Frances Rollins, Shirley Kennedy, Sandra (Ronnie) Baker, Sheila Manley and Deonna Ashby; and brothers: Claude Hicks, Jr., David Ashby and Ricky (Debbie) Ashby.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m.
