Charles William “Bill” Burns, age 86, of Meridianville, AL, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024.

He was born in Shelbyville, TN on December 13, 1937, to Willis and Mildred Burns. Bill graduated from Moore County High School and then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Bill also served in the Army Reserves for six years.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Mildred Burns, and his wife, Brenda “Kay” Burns. He is survived by aunts, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Carl Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
