Bessie Lee Clevenger, age 89, of Flintville, TN, passed away on June 10, 2024, at Elk River Health and Rehab. She was born on April 15, 1935 in Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Joe Whitsett and Jewell Hester Brown Whitsett. She was a former seamstress and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons: Rex Clevenger and Kerry Roland Clevenger; sisters: Gladys Metcalf, Betty Jo Wells and Sandra Gail King; and brother: Pete Whitsett.

Ms. Clevenger is survived by her son: Timothy (Kelly) Clevenger; daughter-in-law: Darlene Clevenger; sister: Evelyn Casteel; brother: Wayne Whitsett; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 4:00 until to 6:00 p.m. at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
