Anthony Clay Carter, age 59, of Elora, TN, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, AL, surrounded by his family. He was born March 15, 1965, to late Ed Carter and Rachel Robinson Dunivant in Fayetteville, TN.

Anthony farmed cotton for many years at Brannon Farms and the Elora Gin. He loved working the fields with his best friends, Jimmy and David. He spent 40 anniversaries exploring and going on road trips with his wife. Anthony was a devoted Falcon fan and he enjoyed watching his son coach and his grandsons play football. He also loved watching his granddaughters play volleyball, softball, and cheer. He assisted his oldest son and grandson in operating tow trucks during his free time.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father: William Dunivant; brother: Rickey E. Carter; and sister: Tammy Vaughn.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of 40 years: Connie Denise Carter of Elora; daughter: Candi Carter of Fayetteville; sons: Jon (Kandace) Carter, Josh (Sarah) Carter, all of Fayetteville; grandchildren: Leland, Alexis, Kayleigh, Colton, Carsen, Keeley, Kinsley and Aliyah Carter; brothers: Tony (Peggy) Carter of MS, Kenneth Duck Carter of Fayetteville and William Bubba Dunivant of Cornersville; special nephew: Andrew (Haley) Locker; special niece: Robbie Taylor (Petey Rollins); and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Jeremy Ogle and Bro. Josh Ogle officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of services. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
