Walter Allen Bennett, Jr., age 69, of Smyrna, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born in Dallas, TX on September 24, 1955, to the late Walter A. Bennett, Sr. and Letha N. Gault Bennett, who survives. Mr. Bennett liked to go fishing and camping, and enjoyed working with wood in various ways. He also enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to his mother, survivors include daughter: Marie Catherine Bennett; son: Walter Allen Bennett III; sister: Paula S. Tufano; grandchildren: Bailey Joyce Bennett and Henry Allen Bennett; niece: Anna Tufano; great niece: Jorja Tufano; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Milton Martin and Bro. Jeremy Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
