Alice Marie Garrett, age 86, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Marshall County, TN on October 5, 1939, to the late Emmett C. & Clara Casteel Woodard. Alice was a longtime employee of Huntsville Hospital, where she worked for 52 years. She was also a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband: Joel Thomas Garrett, Sr.; son: Joel Thomas Garrett, Jr.; brothers: Jerry Woodard and James Alton Woodard; and sister: Wilma Sanders.

She is survived by her daughter: Joan (Rick) Pressnell; son: Alan (Tammy) Garrett; daughter-in-love: Julie Garrett; grandchildren: Andy (Dawn) Pressnell, Emily Pressnell, Lura (Justin) Black, Jaylan Garrett and Sharon Garrett; great grandchildren: Mason Black and Avery Black; sisters: Louise Massey and Shirley (Tommy) Bledsoe; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Van Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Talley Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
