Remembering the Life of

Peggy Eddings

June 22, 1942 - Sept. 6, 2023

Peggy Smith Eddings, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at her residence. She was born June 22, 1942, in Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Marion Beavers and Myrtle Smith. She was a retired lunchroom cook at Lincoln County High School and was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Sam Eddings, Jr.; daughter: Shirley Raybon; sisters: Mae Frances Word and Polly Ann Albright; and great grandson: DaQuan Eddings.

 

Mrs. Eddings leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Vicki (Jerry) Travis, Deborah Miller and Tracey Eddings; three sons: Samuel (Charlotte) Eddings, Scott (Felicia) Eddings and Timothy (Kimberly) Eddings; 19 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with eulogy by Minister Brenda Bass. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
